Bristol University confers Honorary Doctorate of Laws on Dr. Charles K. H. Wong, January 2013
Dr Charles K. H. Wong received a Doctor of Laws from the University of Bristol on January 31st. 2013 in recognition of his contribution to distance education and lifelong learning as the Founding Director of the School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) at the City University of Hong Kong.
He took up the post in 1995 and, among many other achievements, has grown a strong partnership with the Graduate School of Education at Bristol University. The MEd and EdD degrees offered by Bristol University in Hong Kong via SCOPE have received wide recognition for their adherence to the highest standards. Before he retired last year, Dr Wong was a member of the Education Commission in Hong Kong and was awarded the prestigious Medal of Honour in 2003 in recognition of his leadership, expertise and influence in the education sector.
