You enjoyed it while you were at Bristol University, so why not enjoy it now you are back?
We try to re-create the camaraderie and social networks that seemed to come so naturally when we were students. You don’t need to do anything special to join because all past students and staff of Bristol University are members of the Convocation. Our aim in Hong Kong is to keep Bristol University and convocation members linked together through a variety of social, educational and service opportunities. Notice of our activities is sent out via the university but we also like to stay in touch with members in Hong Kong directly. So do please send us your e-mail contact.
One proud achievement of the Hong Kong Branch is the establishment of the Scholarship Fund. Each year the scholarship is open for application to any young Hong Kong person whose first degree was taken here rather than overseas. This has enabled us to assist substantially with the fees for a one year’s Master’s degree at Bristol University for the last decade. With expert management by our finance committee, together with a large dose of good luck, this fund remains intact, unscathed despite the global financial meltdown of 2008.
